SuiteWorld turned out to be pretty sweet for Doozy Solutions this year. The company was named Oracle NetSuite’s 2023 Micro-Vertical Solution Provider of the Year, a distinction recognized among a global network of solution provider partners.
The annual conference was held in Las Vegas October 16-19, bringing together NetSuite customers, partners and developers from around the world. Doozy was one of a select group of global companies honored with a partner award.
“This award is a great honor as it recognizes our company’s perseverance despite the challenges of the current global economic climate,” said Kristin Steele, co-founder of Doozy Solutions, who was on hand to accept the award. “Like us, our customers view these headwinds as an opportunity to make their businesses more resilient by streamlining operations and creating efficiencies. Their vision and grit continues to inspire our team every day, and we gratefully share this award with them.”
Kristin was invited on stage alongside another award winning partner to participate in a Q&A led by Craig West, global VP of channel and alliances, about the growth of the business and market challenges Doozy has seen within the industry.
“From mom and pops to the Fortune 500, no company is immune to the impacts of the economy – and changing consumer tastes. We firmly believe that only those organizations that focus on introspection and improvement will endure,” continued Kristin. “We were honored to share with our NetSuite partner community how we’ve pivoted to defy the downward trend and drive success for ourselves and our customers.”
Finding Their Niche
2023 marked the 6th year of operations for Doozy Solutions. Founded in February 2017, the company set out to meet the technology needs of bev-alc producers who were struggling to find a comprehensive software solution for their unique business requirements. Leveraging decades of combined experience managing and developing solutions for NetSuite, the team created Crafted ERP, the only end-to-end business management solution for breweries, wineries, distilleries and ready-to-drink beverage producers.
“Crafted ERP was born out of a desire to strengthen business operations, provide detailed reporting and analytics, and create production automation and efficiencies for the alcoholic beverage market,” commented Jeremy King, co-founder and chief solution architect. “We saw a need in this industry and set out to provide a leading software solution with premier customer support provided by experts in both NetSuite and bev-alc production.”
Harnessing the power of the NetSuite platform, Crafted ERP provides a suite of business solutions for bev-alc producers. Its robust financial and accounting software paired with dynamic reporting and analytics, sales, CRM and marketing, production planning, lab and quality control, barrel and recipe management, packaging, labeling, inventory management, supply chain analytics, and purchasing makes it the most comprehensive software platform in the industry. It even has sustainability tracking.
“Our team understands the intricacies of producing the various types of beverages and the complex reporting and compliance standards each different business must meet,” continued Jeremy. “And we’ve built a product that unifies work across departments and provides companies with one platform where they may have needed upwards of nine separate solutions running concurrently in the past.”
Micro-Vertical With Maximum Impact
Doozy Solutions, with offices in Denver, Colorado, and Sydney, Australia, serves a diverse global customer base across 6 continents. Award-winning brands like Athletic Brewing Company, BuzzBallz, Balter Brewing, Rabbit Hole Distillery, Tyrrell’s Wines, Far Niente and Long Meadow Ranch all utilize Crafted ERP’s industry-specific software to propel their businesses forward.
“We needed a platform that could seamlessly integrate with our website while allowing for recipe management, multi-location brewing, inventory fulfillment and more,” said Bill Shufelt, co-founder and CEO of Athletic Brewing. “NetSuite alone didn’t fit, but with Crafted’s brewery-specific functionality we were able to curate the solution to support Athletic Brewing’s aggressive growth strategy.”
While many NetSuite partners provide services to a general pool of B2B organizations, Crafted ERP exclusively focuses on the bev-alc industry. “One of our strengths as a company is being able to hone in on a specific industry, truly understand the pain points and opportunities, and then develop a product that materially benefits our customers,” explained Kristin.
Crafted offers software editions specific to the production of beer, wine, distilled spirits and RTDs. Beverage producers can run a single software edition or multiple editions concurrently within the same platform if they are creating varying types of bev-alc or non-alcoholic drinks.
Justin Catalana of San Francisco’s Fort Point Beer Co. explained, “Earlier this year, we got into the cider business. While there’s a lot of similarities between beer and cider, there’s also a lot of differences. Crafted was able to adapt in the ways we needed it to adapt, and it was really straightforward to start processing cider through the software.”
Dynamic Duo: NetSuite + Crafted
Doozy’s award not only recognizes the company’s work as a solution provider and software developer partner of NetSuite, but also highlights its deep commitment to the bev-alc industry.
